THE READING ROOM

Resources for more considered training decisions.

Solace resources are designed to help readers observe, record, and discuss their practice. They are educational tools, not personal instructions or a replacement for qualified guidance.

A useful resource should lower confusion rather than add another demand. Each item on this page has a stated purpose, suggested use, and a reminder to adapt it to the realities of work, weather, travel, and existing routines.

Printing a worksheet is optional. A plain text note can work just as well if it captures the same information. The format should support reflection, not become another measure of performance.

A four-step reading roadmap

  1. Frame: name the question and the time period.
  2. Collect: write down direct observations before interpreting them.
  3. Compare: look for similar conditions and repeated patterns.
  4. Discuss: bring clear questions to a suitably qualified person when needed.
  • Use one resource for a week before adding another.
  • Keep personal records private and avoid sharing another person’s information.
  • Review notes when calm rather than immediately after a difficult session.

Download language is intentionally modest

Solace does not promise a particular outcome from a worksheet. A resource is simply a structured prompt. Its value depends on the quality of the observations and the care taken when applying them to a real situation.

“The right worksheet leaves more room for judgment, not less.”
